I have an annual goal of reading 50 books or ~1 book/week. Last year I read (and posted about) 44 books.
Over the summer my weekly reading fell down a bit. Fall and winter were also a bit spotty. So sadly I didn't hit my goal and I was down from my 2010 stats, but I still read a bunch of good books.
I'll be getting my 2012 goal and post together shortly. In the meantime, let me know what you read in 2011? Any great books I should add to my "to read" pile?
Here's the list of what I read in 2011:
- A Lion Among Men
- The Learning eXplosion
- The Elves of Cintra
- Matched
- The Name of the Rose
- The Tale of Desperaux
- Crucial Conversations
- The Scorch Trials
- Tuck Everlasting
- The Mysterious Affair at Styles
- The Lost Hero
- Oliver Twist
- Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark
- The Red Pyramid
- Casino Royale
- The Gypsy Morph
- A Room With A View
- The Invention of Hugo Cabret
- The Orphan of Awkward Falls

- The Man in the Iron Mask
- Doc: A Novel
- Jacob T. Marley
- Batman: The Killing Joke

I also have a "to read" list on Goodreads but it certainly isn't in any particular order.
Thanks.

I admire you for your bravery-one book a week! I'm much more lax with my speed, but then again, I read about six at a time...so I suppose it balances?
Yeah...we'll see how it goes. I usually have two or three going simultaneously. I don't think I ever got up to 6 at once. That's probably a little tough to keep straight at times. :)
I am extra pathetic for reading about one book a month, ugh. I am reading The Happiness Hypothesis right now and it's incredible - I highly recommend it!
Thats awesome! Keep at it.
Wow,I've never met anyone who loves books as much as I do! I tried that reading one book per week, and I was doing qiute good actually until I ran out of good books and had to search for more :). I'm currently writing two stories at the moment, if you would care to take a look. Please comment aswell.. It makes me happy :)
I do the same thing. Tear thtough books according to my mood.
Even go through psychology and non fiction.
The Bonds That Make Us Free is a good non fiction-- not unlike Crucial Conversations.
As far as a good fiction to tackle--anything by Dean Koontz is fun.
