Anyway, next Monday is "Martin Luther King, Jr. Day." Sometimes it's called "Human Rights Day."
In any case, I was reading tonight and I came across this quote that I thought was pretty cool and thought I'd post. When I realized it's by MLK, I figured it's all the more appropriate.
Enjoy:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate;
only love can do that.
Hate multiplies hate,
violence multiplies violence,
and toughness multiplies toughness
in a descending spiral of destruction.
--Martin Luther King, Jr.,
--From "Strength to Love," 1963

Thanks for commenting on my blog.
Advance Happy Birthday! :)
The quote is timely. In today's world where senseless deaths claim many lives, pain is a relative companion of most and apathy makes us forget other people's plight, this serves as a reminder to us - to pause... reflect... and act. It's a call to forego hate... and embrace love instead.
