Board Game Secret Santa

For the past couple of years, I've participated in the "Secret Santa" project over at Board Game Geek. Basically, you opt into the program and then you are randomly assigned the name of someone else who opted in. You go check out the user's profile and game wishlist and then send 1 or more games anonymously to the user.

It's pretty fun. Lynette comments however that this just seems to be a way for us (members of BGG) to vicariously buy a game for ourselves (since we set up our own wishlist and prioritize it). Imagine our amazement this year when Santa sent not one game but three neatly wrapped packages...one for me, one for Lynette and one for the kids. We've placed them under the tree and anxiously wait for Christmas morning to see what he chose for us, but I just want to say thanks to Santa for whatever you saw fit to get for us. And thank you also for thinking of the rest of my family. Not only was it very kind and unexpected, but it will go a long way to ensuring I'm able to participate in Secret Santa in future years as well. ;)

Thanks Santa.
