I'm always happy to see large companies willing to play around. This article indicates that if you use Google Maps/Directions to get driving directions from say New York to Paris France, the directions will include the tongue in cheek instruction to "swim across the Atlantic Ocean." The Google response to this is that it's just included as a "whimsical direction" since cars can't go on water...
If you ask a silly question, it's good to know some people are still willing to give a silly answer in reply.
