Well, I still have another class to go, and a ton of reading to plow through, but I figured I'd give a quick update.
My English classes don't have me worried at all...and I'm very excited about them. The instructors seem to be great....very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Aside from the 100+ pages of reading required between classes, they should be a breeze. ;)
Spanish, the jury is still out on. The entire class was in Spanish, which was fine as I was able to understand and carry on...however, in trying to verbalize responses to questions and to think and speak in Spanish, I was reminded of just how much I have forgotten through non-use. Fortunately the class is not going to focus on conversational Spanish. Unfortunately, this means it will focus on written Spanish and grammar. I should be able to pick up the grammatical basics quickly enough...the bigger trick will be to get my vocabulary and thinking back where it needs to be in order to write well organized research papers in Spanish.
The class I haven't gone to yet is a psychology class as required for the teaching program. It's a low level class and will likely be filled with busy work. So, while it could be tedious, I'm not worried about it.
All in all, I'm still a little nervous about trying to balance everything, but as I get into it, I am super excited at the prospects.
More to come. :)
