Happy Anniversary - A dozen wonderful years!

This past weekend, Lynette and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary. It's crazy to think that I've known and been married to Lynette for more than a third of my life. Crazy in a good way. I am so absolutely and totally in love with her it's fabulous. She truly is my best friend and I sincerely feel like the luckiest man in the world to have her by my side. Lynette is amazing. She is smart, friendly, witty, compassionate, utterly supportive, and totally beautiful. With all that and more, I'm sure everyone will agree that I'm the luckiest man ever? ;)

For our anniversary, we went to the Olive Garden for dinner and then to the theatre for a play. We were both very tired thanks to a pile of physical and emotional adventures running through our house lately. Still, tired though we were, it was fabulous to take a few hours out of our busy schedules to have an amazing date and sit and talk or (when more tired), just sit and stare at each other and smile and chuckle.

Thanks for an amazing twelve years Lynette. I look forward to forever. :)

P.S. - I've heard of "tin", "silver", and "gold" anniversaries. I never knew that the 12th anniversary was the "lice" anniversary, but apparently it's true...as part of our anniversary adventure, Lynette found a louse in Jason's hair and we quickly discovered that both of the boys had lice. Fortunately, Lynette, Julia and I have remained unaffected and we hope it stays that way. Still, the past few days have been full of literal 'nit-picking' and tons of laundry. It looks like we're turning the corner though and hope to be nit/lice free by the end of the week. Fun times. :)
